Updated : Jun 11, 2026

Jailer 2 has become one of the most anticipated Indian films in production and the latest casting buzz has added another layer of excitement. Reports suggest Hrithik Roshan could be joining Rajinikanth’s blockbuster sequel in a special appearance, although an official confirmation is still pending.

The speculation has generated huge discussion among Hindi audiences. But alongside excitement, one particular concern is also visible across social media. Fans are hoping Hrithik’s role does not end up resembling Aamir Khan’s appearance in Coolie.

When Coolie announced Aamir’s involvement, expectations naturally shot up. His inclusion created strong buzz and many expected a substantial character with major importance to the narrative. However, after release, sections of audiences felt the role was designed more as a surprise attraction than a fully impactful crossover moment.

That is why reactions around Jailer 2 are slightly different. Fans are not questioning Hrithik’s presence but are instead hoping the makers give him a meaningful role with proper screen impact. Hrithik remains one of Hindi cinema’s biggest stars and audiences seem to want more than just a blink-and-miss cameo in the film.
